Gong Cha Japan, located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, will open “Gong Cha Shinjuku Marui Store” on May 21st in the renovated area on the basement floor of Shinjuku Marui. The operating hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Gong Cha Shinjuku Marui Store is a takeout-style establishment conveniently located near the Shinjuku-sanchome station of the Tokyo Metro. Similar to other stores, customers can order and pay in advance through mobile ordering, allowing them to receive their items immediately upon arrival without waiting in line at the register.
Gong Cha is a tea brand born in Taiwan in 2006. Its name is derived from the tradition in ancient China of offering the rarest and highest-quality tea to the emperor, known as “Gong Cha.” With over 2,000 stores worldwide, Gong Cha has expanded to over 150 stores in Japan since its launch in 2015.
Since April of this year, Gong Cha has been aggressively expanding its presence, with openings at Atre Yotsuya, Aeon Mall Ota, Aeon Mall Itami, Hakata Marui, Aeon Mall Makuhari Shintoshin, and CoCoLo Niigata.
